Comptroller Distributes $1.3 in Sales Tax Allocations for September
Texas Comptroller Don Huffines announced that city and counties will receive a total of $1.3 billion in sales tax allocations for September. This is a 7.6% increase from September 2025. These allocations are based on sales made in July by businesses that report tax monthly.

State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $4.62 Billion in August
Texas Comptroller Don Huffines announced that state sales tax revenue for August totaled $4.62 billion. This is a 7.1% increase compared to August 2025.
Calendar year-to-date sales tax revenue was $35.2 billion, up 7.3% compared with the same period a year ago. Remittances from the manufacturing sector came in 5.2% above the amount in August 2025, and collections from the wholesale trade sector were 1.7% above totals from the same month last year following a nearly 10% jump in July.
