Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson has announced that she plans to depart the agency effective July 17th.
During her tenure, Secretary Nelson has overseen seven statewide elections with roughly 27 million ballots cast. Additionally, Texas broke a record with over 3 million active business filers during Secretary Nelson’s tenure.
