Republican Pete Flores and Democrat Pete Gallego will be heading to a runoff to determine who will replace former state Senator Carlos Uresti (D- San Antonio). The winner of the runoff will fill the remainder of Uresti’s term which expires in 2020. In the special election on Tuesday, July 31, Flores won 34 percent of the vote and Gallego won 29 percent.
