El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego has issued a new countywide order directing nonessential businesses to close and residents to shelter at home through November 11. Per the order, tattoo parlors, hair salons, nail salons, gyms, massage businesses, and in-person dining are considered nonessential and are directed to cease operations. Essential services that may continue include election activities, curbside and delivery food service, retail to go, and health care operations. Judge Samaniego also presented a letter of support for the new El Paso order cosigned by the county judges of Bexar, Dallas, Harris, Tarrant, and Travis counties.
