The Texas Commission on Virtual Education (TCVE) held it’s inaugural meeting on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, concerning the state of virtual education in Texas and Operation Connectivity. The Commission was established by HB 3643 during the 87th Texas Legislature to develop and make recommendations regarding the delivery of virtual education in the public school system and state funding for virtual education under the Foundation School Program. The Commission is expected to meet once a month to review the past and current context of virtual education in Texas, as well as explore virtual education nationwide.
