After nearly eight hours of debate today, SB 2 (Creighton) relating to the establishment of an education savings account program, passed out of the Senate with 19 ayes and 12 nays. There were 37 amendments offered on the bill and 20 of those were adopted.

The bill will now move over to the House chamber for further consideration.
