Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton spoke out against the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan during a recent luncheon saying he believes the program will result in “the premature retirement of existing power plants, damaging the reliability of our electric grid, and resulting in significantly higher energy costs for businesses and consumers alike.”
 
Last month, Attorney General Paxton announced Texas intends to challenge the Clean Power Plan when it is finalized by the EPA later this summer.
