State Representative Todd Hunter recently announced that hearings have been scheduled for the Joint Interim Committee to Study Water Desalination.  Representative Hunter, along with Senator Craig Estes, will be co-chairing the Joint Interim Committee. This committee is charged with examining the status of seawater and groundwater desalination in Texas, as well as ways that expanded use of desalinated water could help meet Texas' needs.
 
The following tentative dates and locations for the upcoming Joint Interim Committee hearings:
June 17th – Austin
June 23rd – Corpus Christi
June 30th – Wichita Falls
