The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) issued a bulletin reminding public entities that loan funds are still available for financial assistance in both the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF and DWSRF) programs. Additionally, there is limited loan forgiveness remaining for very small system projects in the DWSRF and for disadvantaged projects under both the CWSRF and DWSRF programs. According to media reports TWDB officials say there is $250 million left of the original $325 million available from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF). And, approximately $150 million available from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF).
TWDB will hold five financial assistance workshops for water and wastewater projects. The workshops will conclude with a webinar to be held on January 30 and will focus on the Drinking Water and Clean Water State Revolving Fund programs, including changes to both programs. TWDB staff will discuss the recent solicitation to submit new water or wastewater projects for State Fiscal Year 2015.
