Work is underway to create a new Long-Range Plan for Public Education, which is expected to establish goals for Texas public schools through the year 2030. The 18-member Long-Range Plan for Public Education Steering Committee is made up of state board members, various stakeholder group representatives and representatives from three state agencies.
The Committee has concluded their September and November meetings in Austin and will meet next on February 21, 2018. The Committee has also held over half of their on-location meetings and will next meet on January 9 in the Region 20 Education Service Center.
