Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick has announced his appointments to two Joint Interim Committees –the Committee to Study a Coastal Barrier System and the Committee to Study Border Security. See below for descriptions of the committees and members appointed.
The Joint Interim Committee to Study a Coastal Barrier System will continue to study the feasibility of constructing a coastal barrier protection system that will protect the people most vulnerable to hurricanes and other damaging weather events.

The Joint Interim Committee to Study Border Security will assist with the management and implementation of resources that will help to secure our Texas/Mexico border.
