The TWIA expert panel will hold a public meeting on May 29 at 2pm to inform the public about the progress of the panel’s work, to allow the public to observe the panel discussing its work, and to give the public an opportunity to comment. Following introductions, the panel will begin with an overview of work completed to date.  The panel plans to discuss recommendations for the damage estimation module of the model it is developing to determine whether loss to TWIA-insured property is caused by wind, waves, tidal surges, or rising waters not caused by waves or surges.  The damage estimation module is based on building-specific data and wind and surge time histories.
