The House Committee on County Affairs will hold a hearing on November 18 to discuss the Department of Public Safety’s procedures for coding race during traffic stops as well is issues related to jail suicides. On December 10, the House Committee on State Affairs will take up their interim charge related to state and local laws applicable to undocumented immigrants.
The Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations will take up their interim charge related to veteran benefits on November 20. The Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water & Rural Affairs will meet December 8 to consider four interim charges related to agricultural liens, windblown and waterborne litter, reduction of agricultural diseases and pests, and the Department of Agriculture’s Market Development Services.
