Both Sen. John Whitmire and Rep. Garnet Coleman have called for Kyle Janek’s immediate resignation as the Executive Commissioner of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Whitmire said in his letter date January 15, that in order to restore public trust there must be someone “devoid of any blame running this agency especially during an independent review and through investigation of agency operations.
