On April 6, 2011, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) approved a proposal of the Lead Transport SIP Revision for the 2008 lead National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). This SIP revision would meet the requirements of the Federal Clean Air Act, §110(a)(2)(D)(i), relating to the interstate transport of lead under the 2008 lead NAAQS.
The public comment period for this proposed SIP revision will open on April 22, 2011, and close on May 23, 2011. A public hearing on this proposal will be held in Austin on May 17, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at the TCEQ headquarters, 12100 Park 35 Circle, Building F, Room 2210.
