Today marked the 60th day of session and the deadline for filing bills and joint resolutions other than local bills, emergency appropriations, and bills that have been declared an emergency by the governor.
As of this evening, the preliminary information on Texas Legislature Online (TLO) shows there has been 3801 House Bills and 1871 Senate Bills filed.
During the last regular session there were 4836 House Bills and 2583 Senate Bills filed.
