The House passed out HB 2038 as amended on May 5 with 127 ayes and 7 nays. HB 2038 – Price – relates to prevention, treatment, and management of concussions affecting public and private school students participating in interscholastic athletics. During second reading, HB2038 was amended and renamed Tasha’s Bill in honor of Natasha Helmick whose soccer career was cut short by five concussions. She is now studying to be an athletic trainer at Texas State University.

Tasha’s Bill will now head to the Senate.
