The General Appropriations Act, 81st Legislature, Rider 65, requires the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to contract with an independent entity for an evaluation of community mental health crisis services. The independent final evaluation report by Texas A&M University, which examines the impact of the DSHS statewide initiative to redesign the community mental health crisis system, is now available.
