On September 16, 2010, a presentation to the public on the 2010 NO2 primary National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) and the state designation recommendation process was hosted at the Austin Headquarters. The presentation was video teleconferenced to the five areas in which the EPA is requiring near-road monitors.
The deadline for submitting informal comments on the designation recommendation was today, October 1, 2010.
The commission is scheduled to consider the 2010 NO2 NAAQS designation recommendations at the November 12, 2010 commissioner’s work session. State designation recommendations are due to the EPA on January 22, 2011.
