Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed Robert Scott of Austin as Texas Commissioner of Education for a term concurrent with the term of the governor. The commissioner serves as head of the Texas Education Agency (TEA), which oversees the state’s 1,200 school districts and charter schools. This appointment is subject to senate confirmation.
