The Texas Education Agency (TEA) will begin taking public comment on changes to social studies curriculum standards proposed by the State Board of Education (SBOE). The changes to Chapter 113 of the Texas Administrative Code reflect amendments made by the State Board of Education during its January and March meetings. A public hearing on the changes is scheduled for May 19th. A committee of the state board is scheduled to vote on any additional changes on May 20th and on May 21st, the full board is scheduled to adopt the rules.
