Today, House Speaker Dustin Burrows announced the creation of three new House select committees: the House Select Committee on General Aviation, the House Select Committee on Governmental Oversight, and the House Select Committee on Health Care Affordability.
Burrows appointed the following members to the House Select Committee on General Aviation:
- Keith Bell – Chair (R-Forney)
- Armando Martinez – Vice Chair (D-Weslaco)
- Terry Canales (D-Edinburg)
- Philip Cortez (D-San Antonio)
- Pat Curry (R-Waco)
- Gary Gates (R-Richmond)
- Cole Hefner (R-Mt. Pleasant)
- John McQueeney (R-Fort Worth)
- Mary Ann Perez (D-Houston)
Burrows appointed the following members to the House Select Committee on Governmental Oversight:
- Cody Vasut – Chair (R-Angleton)
- Armando Walle – Vice Chair (D-Houston)
