The United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana issued a permanent injunction against implementation of a portion of Executive Order 14008 which would stop new oil and gas leases in public lands and in offshore waters. The injunction is limited to the 13 plaintiff states of Louisiana, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia.
