The House is staring down a midnight deadline tonight to pass all HBs/HJRs on second reading. The House Supplemental calendar was published at 11:54 p.m. last night and totals 20 pages.

Tomorrow, Friday, the House will take up all bills passed to second reading that made the deadline. Friday will be the last day for the House to pass all 3rd reading HBs/HJRs on the supplemental calendar. It is also the last day for the House to consider HBs on local and consent calendar on 2nd and 3rd reading. The Local, Consent, and Resolutions Calendar has been published and totals 10 pages.

Missing these deadlines means those HBs/HJRs not taken up may be considered in large part dead; however, the language of the bill can still hitch a ride on another bill as an amendment. As deadlines loom, HillCo will continue to watch the progress of legislation and provide key updates.

The House and Senate will reconvene today at 10 AM and 11 AM respectively.
