Yesterday, November 12, was the first day of bill filing for the upcoming 89th Legislative Session and 1511 bills and resolutions were filed (1100 HBs and 284 SBs).

Of note, it is customary for lower-numbered bills to be reserved for leadership priority legislation.

The 89th Session begins on January 14, 2025. The 60-day deadline for bill filing is March 14, 2025. Sine die, the last day of the session, is June 2, 2025.
