Texas Comptroller Don Huffines announced that cities and counties will receive a total of $1.3 billion in sales tax allocations.

Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $4.4 Billion in September
Texas Comptroller Don Huffines announced that state sales revenue for September totaled $4.4 billion. This is an 11.5% increase compared to September 2025.
Double-digit growth in receipts was observed for the large sectors primarily influenced by business spending — mining, construction, manufacturing, wholesale trade, and real estate, rental and leasing. Growth in receipts from retail trade was 3% compared with the same month a year ago, slightly below the 3.4% rise in the Consumer Price Index.
