The House Select Committee on Protecting LNG Exports has released their interim report to the 89th Legislature. The report covers the following charges:

  • CHARGE 1: Analyzing the applicable legal authorities under which federal action was taken
  • CHARGE 2: Assessing the potential economic, environmental, and social harms of related federal action
  • CHARGE 3: Mitigation and recommendations for the LNG industry that include any remedial actions to address the challenges posed by the federal suspension of LNG export permits

They held an offsite meeting in which they discussed the above charges on May 2, 2024. For more information, see the interim report (PDF).
