U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona joined a group of students at the conference Wednesday to speak on reimagining education. Cardona argued for a renaissance of innovation saying, “I want to make sure that as we see now, masks off and things are starting to look normal, that we do not lose our sense of urgency around not only the gaps that existed before, but the gaps that were made worse. So we need to really double down.” Cardona focused his comments more on his vision for education including supports for teachers and putting students’ voices front and center driving the improvement of public education.
