Tonight in the Special Election for Senate District 28, with 75% of the precincts reporting, Charles Perry (R) has received over 54% of the votes with Jodey Arrington at 30%. The remaining 4 candidates received 13% or less of the vote total.

State Rep. Charles Perry has represented Lubbock and several nearby counties in House District 83 since 2011. SD 28 was left vacant when Lubbock Republican Robert Duncan resigned to take over as chancellor at Texas Tech University.
