Mandatory Safe and Supportive School Program Data Reporting
The window to report mandatory Safe and Supportive School Program data is approaching. Superintendents will receive an email with the link on Saturday, June 1, 2024, sent from TEA. Superintendents will then forward the link to the designated SSSP team member responsible for reporting the data for each campus. Each SSSP team is required to report its activities for the school year to the agency by the June 30th deadline. Each LEA is responsible for ensuring that SSSP data is reported for each campus. It is strongly recommended that LEAs develop procedures for tracking the submission of campus data to ensure that the mandatory reporting deadline has been met.
Campus SSSP teams can prepare for data reporting by collecting the required data prior to accessing the data instrument. The data reporting questions are contained in a sample copy of the 2023-2024 SSSP Survey, which can be accessed on the TEA Safe and Supportive Schools webpage.
Senate Bill 1882 Texas Partnerships Applications, Cycles 8 and 9
SB 1882 85(R) provides an opportunity for school districts to access potential financial and/or accountability benefits by entering into a partnership with a non-profit, institution of higher education or another governmental entity to manage a district campus or set of campuses to promote innovation and dramatically improve student outcomes. There are two priority deadlines and a final deadline for districts to submit their Texas Partnerships Benefits Application Package to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for partnerships beginning operation in school year (SY) 2025-2026.
- Deadline to submit a final application package – Monday, March 31, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. CT
- Deadline for mandatory submission of non-binding Letter of Intent – Friday, December 6, 2025 at 5 p.m. CT
- Texas Partnerships Benefits Application Package Priority Deadline 1 – Monday, December 16, 2024 at 5 p.m. CT
- Texas Partnerships Benefits Application Package Priority Deadline 2 – Friday, January 31, 2025 at 5 p.m. CT
- Texas Partnerships Benefits Application Final Deadline – Monday, March 31, 2025 at 5 p.m. CT
