The Texas Education Agency has published the following new letters to school administrators:

  • Final Expenditure Report Dates for Active Federal and State-Funded Grants – Notifying school systems that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is updating the due dates of the Final Expenditure Report and Revised Final Expenditure Report for active federal and state-funded grants. Due dates for each grant are available in the Critical Events section listed on the TEA Grant Opportunities webpage.
  • Filing of Bilingual Exceptions and/or ESL Waivers on TEAL – Informing school systems that effective for the 2024-2025 school year, school systems will file their Bilingual Exception and English as a Second Language (ESL) Waiver application through the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL).
  • Holocaust Remembrance – Instructional resources provided by the THGAAC are available to local educational agencies throughout the year, especially during Holocaust Remembrance Week, which next occurs the week of January 27–31, 2025. During this week, Texas Education Code, §29.9072 requires public schools to provide age-appropriate instruction on the Holocaust using resources developed or approved by the THGAAC.
