The Department of State Health Services will hold a stakeholder meeting on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm to discuss SUBCHAPTER B. Licensing Requirements, of the draft licensing rules for Chemical Dependency Treatment Facilities (25 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 448).


The Department has considered stakeholder feedback and would like to request further input, specifically related to facility licensing. Items for discussion include the following:

  • Licensing process
  • Facility/provider/site licensing
  • Co-location of licensed facilities
  • Related locations for the provision of treatment services
  • Integration with/separation from other treatment services
  • Changes affecting a license
  • Inactive status and closure
  • Licensing fees
