OneStar National Service Commission
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Corina Sadler and reappointed Annette Juba, Mike Morath, Girien Salazar, and Gene Seaman to the OneStar National Service Commission for terms set to expire on March 15, 2025. The commission serves as the state’s liaison to the Corporation for National and Community Service, fulfilling the duties prescribed and oversees Texas’ participation in Corporation for National and Community Service programs and prepares a comprehensive three-year national service plan for the state annually. Additionally, the commission helps to oversee the Rebuild Texas Fund to help Texans recovering from Hurricane Harvey.
State Soil And Water Conservation Board
Governor Abbott has reappointed Tina Yturria Buford to the State Soil and Water Conservation Board for a term set to expire on February 1, 2024. The board administers Texas’ soil and water conservation law and coordinates conservation and pollution abatement programs throughout the state.
Department of Information Resources
Governor Abbott has appointed Jeffrey Allison and Christopher “Stephen” Franke to the governing board of the Department of Information Resources (DIR) for terms set to expire on February 1, 2027. DIR coordinates, monitors, and directs information resources management within state government.
