Governor Greg Abbott announced a new application category opening for the Texas Travel Industry Recovery Grant (TTIR) program through the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism beginning September 1 at 9 AM CT and closing September 15 at 5 PM CT.
In accordance with SB 30 each approved program applicant may now receive up to $250k in total from the TTIR program. Applicants who received an award during Categories 1-5 are eligible to reapply for funding under Category 6. Those who previously received funding are eligible for up to $250k in total funds, which includes the amount of their previous award. Applicants who have not previously been approved or awarded for the TTIR Program must create a new submission under Category 6.
