The conference report on HB 1, the 2012-2013 general appropriations bill, which appropriates $172 billion in all funds/$80.4 billion in general revenue, was voted on this evening in both the House and the Senate.

The Senate adopted the conference committee report with 20 ayes and 11 nays. The House adopted the conference report with 97 ayes and 53 nays.

Another critical budget vote still needed before the 82nd Session concludes is SB 1811 which is needed in order to balance HB 1. SB 1811 is an essential fiscal matters bill which now includes a recently agreed to school finance plan. A summary of that bill was sent out today in an earlier HillCo Client News Flash.
