The House passed the fiscal matters bill, SB 1, to third reading. After just over 13 hours of debate and 95 adopted floor amendments; the bill was passed to third reading with 81 ayes and 62 nays. This bill was critical in not only addressing school finance but also to help certify the budget – HB 1 (82nd R).

Earlier today the House also passed SB 2, another fiscal matters bill and technical corrections to the budget bill to third reading with 15 adopted amendments; with 98 ayes and 47 nays.

SB 7, the bill relating to quality and efficiencies in health care and Medicaid was passed out of the House with 88 ayes and 41 nays.
