The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has proposed revisions to the following rules regarding instructional materials:
19 TAC Chapter 66, State Adoption and Distribution of Instructional Materials, Subchapter AA, Commissioner's Rules Concerning the Commissioner's List of Electronic Instructional Materials; Subchapter BB, Commissioner's Rules Concerning State-Developed Open-Source Instructional Materials; Subchapter CC, Commissioner's Rules Concerning Acceptable Condition of Public School Printed Instructional Materials, Electronic Instructional Materials, and Technological Equipment; and Subchapter DD, Commissioner's Rules Concerning Instructional Materials Allotment
The proposed revisions are posted in the January 20, 2017, issue of the Texas Register, which can be accessed at http://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg/archive/January202017/index.html. The public comment period on the proposal is January 20, 2017–February 21, 2017. Public comments can be submitted to instructional.materials@tea.texas.gov.
