House

The House gaveled in at 4:00 p.m. on August 12th and will stand at ease until Friday, August 13th at 2:00 p.m. Additionally, Speaker Phelan noted the House intends to meet Saturday, August 14th at 10:00 a.m. and Monday, August 16th at 4:00 p.m.

Senate

After Senator Alvarado yielded the floor and ended the filibuster on the morning of August 12th, the Senate passed SB 1 (Hughes) relating to elections (18-11) with seven floor amendments. In addition to a perfecting amendment by the author, amendments were adopted removing attorney fees for ballot harvesting suits, allowing voters to correct additional information in the mail ballot application, and allowing voters to correct information in the online tracking tool, among other provisions.
