Today, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst announced appointments for several boards and committees. Many of these positions were vacated by Senators who will not be returning for the 84th Legislative Session.

Senator Estes remains the Chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Rural Affairs and Homeland Security, the Co-Chair of the Joint Interim Committee to Study Water Desalination, and the Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources.

Senator Schwertner remains the Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Government Organization.
