The agenda for the State Board of Education (SBOE) November 15, 16, 17, and 18, 2016 meeting has been posted. Items they will take up include, but are not limited to: selection process for the Long-Rang Plan Steering Committee, the legislative recommendations for the 85th Texas Legislature, discussions on Proclamation 2017 & 2018, a public hearing on TEKS for mathematics, discussion regarding the science TEKS streamlining committees, and increasing the multiplier from 3.25 to 3.5 in calculating the capacity of the Permanent School Fund (PSF) to allow for more charters to access the bond guaratee program.
