Request for Comments on Draft 2012 Texas Nonpoint Source Management Program

The TCEQ and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB) request your review and informal comments its Draft 2012 Texas Nonpoint Source Management Program.

The Texas Nonpoint Source Management Program is the State’s comprehensive strategy to protect and restore water quality in water bodies affected by nonpoint sources of water pollution. The Management Program is required under Section 319(b) of the federal Clean Water Act.

The TCEQ will accept informal written comments through October 12, 2011. Please submit comments by e-mail to Arthur Talley at arthur.talley@tceq.texas.gov. In your comments, please reference the associated page, chapter, section, and paragraph from the document to the extent possible.

The draft document will be discussed at a public meeting scheduled for:

After the public meeting and comment period, the TCEQ and TSSWCB will address comments and incorporate responses into a revised Management Program document that will be released for official public comment in early 2012.
