On September 16th, TCEQ and EPA hosted a meeting with representatives from industry, environmental organizations and communities to review a proposed process. A copy of the proposal is available (8 pages, PDF, 61 KB).
Highlight of steps to the proposed process:
Step One: Minor permit revision of the Title V operating permit to commit to restricting a Subchapter G permit to Subchapter B permit (“Transition Process”)
Step Two: Determining federally-applicable requirements.
Step Three: Application and Issuance of the NSR SIP-Approved Permit
Step Four: Revision of the CAA Title V Permit
Both Agencies have invited interested businesses, individuals or groups to offer suggestions and feedback on the proposal until September 30, 2010. Emailed comments should be addressed to r6press@epa.gov and airperm@tceq.state.tx.us with ‘Deflex Comments’ in the subject line.
