Proposed new performance standards for the STAAR assessments were posted in the Texas Register for public comment starting September 15, 2023, with comments closing October 15, 2023. The proposed changes would modify the performance standards for Approaching, Meets, and Masters for the Spring 2023 administration of STAAR grades 3—8 and End of Course Exams for high school.
