On August 12, TEA released updated COVID-19 resources on their Coronavirus (COVID-19) Support and Guidance webpage. A list of the recently released guidance can be found below:
- Updated COVID-19 FAQ: School Boards – Includes new information the ability to hold board meetings virtually. Current rule suspensions allowing virtual board meetings will end on September 1.
- Updated Remote Conferencing FAQ – Updates how attendance will be generated for RC and adds new questions concerning remote eligibility, non-expansion amendments, and enrollment dates, among others.
- Vetted Texas Tutor Corps Announcement – Overviews and announces the launch of the VTTC, an initiative of high-impact tutoring that assists districts in meeting the statutory requirements of HB 4545 (Dutton). Those who wish to participate must do so through the TCLAS grant program and completing the pre-registration form.
- Updated HB 4545 FAQ – Includes new questions concerning the parent grievances process, accelerated instruction requirements, and tutoring requirements.
- TCLAS State Approved Vendor List – Provides a list of the approved vendors evaluated by TEA through a program-specific qualification or through the TCLAS vendor application process in summer 2021.
