According to quarterly data posed by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, Real Gross Domestic Product increased in all 50 states and D.C. in the fourth quarter of 2023. Among the top fastest growing GDPs in the nation, Texas’ grew at a rate of 5% while the nation as a whole grew at 3.4%. Concerning annual GDP, the mining industry was the leading contributor to growth in Texas and several other states with the largest increases in real GDP.
