Proposed Rules

• BUDGETING, ACCOUNTING, AND AUDITING– 19 TAC §109.1001– The proposed amendment would update financial accountability rating information and rating worksheets for school districts and open-enrollment charter schools, including adjustments required under Texas Education Code. It would also address adjustments for scores and ratings upon appeal for the indicator for the timely submission of a complete annual financial report. Public comment period begins February 10, 2023, and ends March 13, 2023. The earliest possible date of adoption is March 12, 2023.

Adopted Rules

• BROADBAND DEVELOPMENT– 34 TAC §§16.30-16.46– The new rules implement the Texas Broadband Development Office and will be located in new Chapter 16. The effective date of adoption is February 19, 2023.
