The committee heard invited testimony on the following interim charges:
- Study the implementation and impact of Senate Bill 11 (86th Legislature, Regular Session) and any other pertinent laws.
- Examine strategies to prevent acts of violence, including measures to enhance firearm safety in Texas.
- Evaluate the preparedness of and coordination between state and local agencies, nongovernmental entities, and law enforcement for the prevention of and response to mass violence.

Senate Special Committee to Protect All Texans – 6/21/22 at 9:00 AM
The Committee heard invited and public testimony on the following areas: School Safety, Police Training, and Social Media. A HillCo report on the full hearing was published in a previous advisory and can be found here.
The Committee met in executive session to hear witness testimony on multiple days. No portion of the witness testimony was open to the public at this hearing. Upon entering into/returning from executive session, Chair Burrows and the other members made a few comments which were published in a previous HillCo Advisory.
